Telluride Ski Resort is one of the most well-known ski resorts in Colorado. Initially, the city of Telluride was a mining town until the year of 1953 when it became a ghost town after the mines were shut down. It was a ghost town until the 1970’s, when Joe Zoline restored the town to make it Telluride Ski Resort. It improved over the years with the installments of snowmaking equipment and the development of numerous trails.
Today, Telluride Ski Resort is incredibly easy to get to with nonstop jet service from nine cities, along with other connections from around the world. The key airports that service the Telluride Ski Resort region are Montrose Regional Airport and Telluride Regional Airport. When arriving at the Telluride Ski Resort, be sure to learn about the historic buildings, dine at the restaurants and bakeries and view the watering holes that blend with the luxurious hotels.
